Shipping Information
All shipments are sent via United Parcel Service (UPS). Orders will be shipped within the United States only. We do not ship to PO/APO/FPO's, American Samoa, Guam, Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, or Virgin Islands.

We charge a flat rate of $7.50 per order under $75 to ship to all U.S. states except Alaska and Hawaii. For shipment to Alaska or Hawaii there is an additional cost of $35.

From time to time we may offer free shipping on the store. When we offer free shipping via a promotion the following limitations apply.

During the summer months from May 1 - September 30, additional restrictions apply to shipping our chocolate products. Please read our summer shipping policy below for full details.

Tax
Sales tax will be charged on orders shipped to Massachusetts and Wisconsin.

Order Processing
Once you have submitted your online order, we will ship your items within 4 business days. UPS shipping time will vary depending on your location. See map below for estimated shipping times from our warehouse in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts.


Summer Shipping Policy for Chocolate
During the summer months Equal Exchange must suspend shipping chocolate bars to most states in order to maintain quality standards. Our products are shipped through UPS in non-refrigerated trucks, and as a result chocolate bars can melt during summer shipments.

We will be shipping full cases of chocolate bars to the following states using insulated EPS foam sheets and gel ice packs: MA, NH, ME, VT, RI, CT, NY, PA, NJ, DE, MD, DC, VA, WV, OH, IN, KY, NC and SC. An additional $3.00 handling fee will be added to your order for each case ordered to cover the cost of cold packing your shipment. A $10.00 handling fee will be added for orders of the Bulk Bag of Organic Dark Chocolate Minis.

Orders for chocolate in states other than: MA, NH, ME, VT, RI, CT, NY, PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, WV, OH, IN, KY, NC and SC, should be made through our customer service line: 774-776-7333.

Ship dates: Orders with chocolate placed after Tuesday will be held until the following Monday to ensure packages do not sit in UPS warehouses over the weekend.

Shipping address: We recommend that you ship your chocolate to an address where someone will be available to accept your shipment. We are not responsible for packages left outside after delivery where chocolate may melt.

Our full line of chocolate products will become available for purchase online again in October once temperatures have become cool enough to prevent melting. In the meantime, if you do not live in one of the states we can ship to, ask for Equal Exchange fairly traded organic chocolate bars at your local store where they are available year round.
