Due to this year's unprecedented surge in cocoa prices, we will soon raise prices on chocolate and cocoa products. The global cocoa market started off 2023 at about $2,500 per metric ton and has continued to soar in recent weeks to well over $10,000. The Fair Trade Organic minimum is $2,940, and when the market is above this minimum, Equal Exchange’s farmer partners always receive at least an additional $540 premium above the market.
